Each year the Santa Cruz Host Lions Club presents $1,000 scholarships to senior high school students recommended by their school's scholarship committee. The committees are asked to make their recommendations on academic excellence and on community service. Over 50 lions, teachers and parents attended the presentation of these scholarships on May 18, 2017. The scholarship recipients are shown below.
